Instructions for Installing Hamachi

NOTE: You may want to print these instructions before starting.

Click HERE to download HAMACHI. If you can choose OPEN then do so, Otherwise SAVE it to your DESKTOP then when its done, click it to run it.

1) Install Clicking NEXT for Each Item, Accept the License Agreement, Check the options for BASIC Free Install and to AUTOMATICALLY START HAMACHI and CREATE SHORTCUT, Do Not Check Disable Vulnerable Windows Service.

2) When done, click FINISH and HAMACHI will start

3) HAMACHI will 'resolve' the IP, give it a moment

4) Exit out of the tutorial window by clicking the X in the top right

5) Click on the ON button in the bottom left corner.

6) Enter a name for your computer (this name should be the name of your location e.g. "johnscomputer")

7) Click on the network icon (2nd item from the bottom right) and choose JOIN NETWORK

8) Enter network name and password that were given to you. (These are case sensitive, lowercase and caps DO matter)

9) Once connected you will see a GREEN icon next to the network name to indicate your connected and you may see other computers that are on the same Hamachi network.

10) Next Click HERE to download VNC. If you can choose OPEN then do so, Otherwise SAVE it to your DESKTOP then when its done, click to Run it. Install it with all the default options, just agree to the License Agreement and click Next for everything else.

11) When done you should be prompted to enter a password. If you were not given one, then enter something unique that you will not forget. This is the password you would give someone if you wanted them to have access to your computer.

12) If you are going to connect to one of the other computers in the Hamachi network then do the following:

    a) Click on the VNC VIEWER icon that was created on your desktop

    b) Looking at Hamachi, you will see a unique number next to the computer you

       want to connect to, enter that number into VNC and click CONNECT

    c) Enter the VNC password that you were given or the password for that computer.

    d) Press CTRL-ALT-F10 to adjust the screen size.

You can now follow step 12 again anytime to connect into a computer on the Hamachi network. If Hamachi is not running you must run it on your computer and double click the network name in the list so that it appears Green to show your connected.
