Why cant I
connect to our wireless network?
1)
If you are using a laptop, many
laptops today have a Wireless Lan
on/off burned
off to the computer.
3) Turn it back on and when it comes up and goes into windows (after loggin in) leave the computer until the hard drive light stops flashing then try your internet connection.
-Often power needs to be recycled and when it goes back into windows it might take a couple of minutes to refind the wireless network.
If you are still not connected...
1) Look in the bottom right by the click, there should be a wireless connection icon. Move your mouse over each item until you find it. When you do RIGHT CLICK on it and choose VIEW WIRELESS NETWORKS.
2) Click on the name of wireless connection you are trying to connect to and click CONNECT
3) You may be asked to reenter the wireless password twice for verification
If it still does not connect and your are in a home or office...
1) Unplug the electrical connection to your cable or dsl modem AND to the wireless router (linksys, belkin, netgear box, etc.)
2) After 1 minute plug the power back in for the cable/dsl modem.
3) Wait until all the necessary lights are back on (may be up to 3 minutes)
4) Plug the power back into the router.
5) Wait until all necessary lights are back on
(How do you know which lights are Necessary? You probably dont but they should look the way it normally does. So if normally 4 of 5 lights are on, wait until it gets to that point).
6) Reboot your Computer
If you still cannot connect...
1) Try using a network wire and connecting directly to the Router
